Eduardo

Born in Mexico City, Dr. Eduardo Marcuschamer is a second generation of a family of dentists. He completed his bachelor’s degree in dental surgery as the valedictorian in 2006 from the Technological University of Mexico. He later joined Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston to earn his dental degree as doctor in dental medicine.

Dr. Marcuschamer completed the three-year postgraduate program in periodontology and advanced implant dentistry. In 2009, he graduated from his specialty training and earned the award in surgical excellence.

Dr. Marcuschamer currently teaches at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and has published numerous works on periodontics, implant dentistry and dental aesthetics. Plus, he has given lectures internationally and nationally.

He holds active memberships in the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons and is a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

Patients always comment on the doctor’s professionalism, attentiveness, respect and personalized care that he provides. Dr. Marcuschamer speaks both Spanish and English.

Dr. Marcuschamer loves spending time with his wife Goldie and their three children, as well as traveling, cooking, working out and skiing. He takes on the challenges of his work with vigor and looks forward to meeting his future patients.

Emilio

Dr. Emilio Argüello obtained his dental degree, specialty training in periodontology, and Master of Science in Oral Science from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Argüello is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He has conducted extensive clinical and basic science research in periodontology at The Forsyth Institute and Harvard University in Boston.

His research work in biofilm formation as well as the microbiology and clinical treatment of periodontal diseases earned him a NIH-National Research Service Award. He serves as a core faculty at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in the post-gradute periodontology program. Dr Argüello has faculty appointments in universities in the United States, Mexico and Europe. He has presented his clinical work and research nationally and internationally.

Dr. Argüello has co-authored textbooks as well as several scientific publications in peer review journals. He lectures extensively nationally and internationally and is an active member of many professional associations. In addition he serves as a reviewer of the Journal of Periodontology and for the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry among others.

Dr. Argüello is fluent in Spanish and French. He enjoys outdoor sports, skiing and golfing. He was also part of the Olympic national team for fencing.

He actively collaborates with other specialists, locally, nationally and internationally for the constant improvement of the profession in benefit of patient care. He will provide personalized, attentive care to help achieve each patient’s individual oral health goals.

Alan

Dr. Alan Pomeranz, a senior partner in Altura Periodontics, brings another unique side to our practice. He earned his certificate in periodontology and M.M.Sc in oral biology from Harvard. A diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Pomeranz received his doctorate from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and his bachelor’s in biology from the University of Colorado. He has completed a wide range of research, including immune regulation in periodontal disease. The passion of Dr. Pomeranz lies in periodontal regeneration, bone regeneration and dental implants.

He has remained an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Similar to the other doctors on staff, he regularly completes continuing education courses in periodontal areas.

Additionally, Dr. Pomeranz has been recognized as one of Denver’s Top Periodontists in 5280 magazine for 2013 & 2014.

Dr. Pomeranz is married to Mimi, who was also born and raised in Denver. They have three daughters-Sophie, Lena and Ella. He enjoys golfing, skiing and cycling in his free time.

Alejandro

Dr. Alejandro Gonzalez, completed Dental school and his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Universidad de Guadalajara.

He is a Professor and former Vice-chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the Central Medical Hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico. He is a Diplomate of the Mexican Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Gonzalez has dedicated the past three decades of his career treating pediatrics patients with maxillofacial cancers, clef lip and palate, facial deformities and maxillofacial reconstructions.

He has his private practice at the Central Medical Hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico limited to oral surgery, dental implants and facial reconstructions.

Antonio

After graduating from dental school from the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Dr Parra Salazar, completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Universitário de Puebla.

He is a Professor of the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery a the Hospital de Trauma y Ortopedia de la ciudad de Puebla, the Hospital Nacional de Alta Especialidad de Puebla and the Hospital Universitário de Puebla. He is a professor in the department of trauma at the Hospital Adolfo Lopez Mateo del Estado de Mexico.

He is the founder of the Oral Surgery association in Puebla and an active member of the Mexican Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Mexican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

In addition to all his teaching appointments, Dr. Parra Salazar maintains his private practice limited to Oral Surgery and Dental Implants in the city of Puebla, Mexico.

Arne

Dr. Arne Hoffmann was born in Bad Harzburg, Germany. He finished a 3 1/2 year apprenticeship as a certified dental technician (CDT) in Northeim/Hanover, Germany. He then earned his dental degree in 2005 in Goettingen, Germany, where he also completed a 3-year residency in periodontics. He participated in a scientific study in cancer treatment, earning his PhD in 2008 with summa cum laude. After completing his training, he worked in a community office as a Perio-prosthodontist in Northeim, Germany.

In 2012, Dr. Hoffmann moved to Denver, CO where he obtained his certificate as a CDA and a CDT, and became the Clinical Director for NDX Perry & Young. As a clinical consultant for dentists and at the lab, his main focuses are on simplifying complex implant treatments and utilizing the newest technologies to make dental teams comfortable with new and comprehensive procedures.

Working with hundreds of dentists chair-side and guiding them through complex treatments makes Arne a unique teacher in implant education.

Campo

Dr. Campo Perez finished the three-years specialty training in periodontology in 2011, and the three-years Master of Science in 2012 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) in Boston. Since 2013, Dr. Perez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP).

In 2001, Dr. Perez received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of Zulia School of Dentistry (FACOLUZ), Venezuela and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree at University of Pennsylvania (UPENN).

Dr. Perez has faculty appointments at TUSDM, Lutheran Medical Center (LMC) and UPENN. Previously, he was a professor at FACOLUZ.

After graduating from TUSDM, he worked at Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) providing comprehensive periodontal treatment to the underserved population.

Dr. Perez has been a contributor in textbooks and has given oral presentations and lectures in dental societies, congresses and conferences as well as in educational institutions. He is an active member of the ABP.

Dr. Perez is fluent in Spanish and English. He also earned a degree of Professor of Musical Language from Conservatory of Music “Jose Luis Paz” in Venezuela and has played violin in national and international orchestras. Presently, he performs with the Penn Med Symphony Orchestra at UPENN.

Carlos

Dr. Carlos Parra was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. He graduated from dental school (2009) at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), Barcelona, Spain. After his graduation, he got enrolled in a Clinical Residency in Periodontology at UIC (2009-2010). He also served as pre-doctoral clinical instructor (2011 – 2012) at UIC.

During that period he was also involved in researches relating oropharyngeal dysphagia and oral hygiene. Dr. Parra practiced dentistry in Barcelona, Spain, for 3 years (2009-2012) prior to coming to Boston, USA. In 2012 he continued his studies for a Certificate in Periodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts (2012-2015). In November of 2015 he became a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, Dallas, Texas.
In September 2016, during the 102 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), he received the Leslie M. Salkin Award for the highest-scoring candidate on the 2016 American Board of Periodontology (ABP) Oral Examination.
On January 2019, Dr. Parra was appointed Assistant Program Director of the Department of Periodontolgy, at Texas A&M University.
Dr. Parra has lectured nationally and internationally on periodontics. His main areas of interest are soft tissue enhancement and dental implants.

Heather

Dr. Heather Hong was born and raised in Southern California where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in physiological science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. During her time in the Bay area, she was the director of the Community Dental Clinic which serves homeless, members of substance recovery programs and victims of abuse.

She later received her specialty training in periodontology and Master of Medical Sciences degree in oral biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While living in Boston, Dr. Hong conducted research in the area of bone regeneration in preparation for dental implants. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

Heather is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Heather is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. She and her husband Michael love to hike, cook, and watch movies.

Israel

Dr Israel Vivanco Perez, obtained his dental degree from the Facultad de Estomatologia de la Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla. he Diplomate of the Consejo Mexicano de Cirujia Oral y Maxillofacial. He obtained a certificate in Oral Implantology from the Instituto en Bioingenieria Humana Avanazada and the Dental Implant Training Institute.

His practice is limited to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and has been professor of the Oral and maxillofacial surgery course in the university of Puebla Mexico. He became a professors of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Hospital Universitario de Puebla since 2009. In 2015 he became the chairman of the department and and Program director of the specialty of Oral and Maxilofacial Surgery of the Hospital Universitario de Puebla.

He has publishes multiple articles in diverse topics related to oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is in charge of the department of orthognatic surgery and surgical orthodontics in the City of Puebla Mexico. He enjoys attending national and international meetings to learn the most curent techniques to provide his patients the best care.

On his free time, Dr Vivanco enjoys taking photographs and watching movies with his family.

Ivo

Ivo graduated from the University of Zagreb Croatia, where he received his degree as a Master Dental Technician.

He moved to the USA in 1995 where he then specialized in the restoration of Full Arch Implant Supported Restorations (All-on-X) in 1998. Since then Ivo has dedicated his entire career to restore Immediately Loaded Full Arch Implant Supported Restoration, guiding Oral Surgeons, Periodontists, Prosthodontists and Generala Dentists from the treatment planning of the cases, the immediate loading the day of the surgery all the way to the the fabrication of the final restorations.

Since 1998 Ivo has restored THOUSANDS of immediate loaded full arch implant supported restorations .

Jacinto

After completing his dental education, At Alfonso X el Sabio in Madrid Spain in 2001, Dr Cano was appointed as a part-time profesor and began working as a general dentist in Madrid, Spain. He then completed his Masters and certificate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and from the University of Seville in 2009. At the same time, he was granted the opportunity to serve as a part-time instructor for the University of Seville, while he was managing challenging complex cases in his private practice..

His thirst for knowledge, brought him to Boston MA, where he earned certificate program in Esthetics and Operative Dentistry from Tufts University in 2013. This program allowed him to further improve his clinical skills, diagnosis and treatment planning, and gave him the ability to approach even more complex cases from a restorative point of view.

He then began his studies as an International Team of Implantology (ITI) Scholar at Tufts Universitt, where he furthered his training in implant dentistry and related treatments. Shortly after the completion of his studies in 2014, he was appointed as an instructor in the Departments of Periodontology and Postgraduate Prosthodontics at that same institution.

Dr Cano returned to Spain and worked for Straumann Inc. as a consultant and instructor, focusing on educating Dental Labs and Key accounts in how to implement digital workflows for implant planning.

Since 2017, moved to California where he works as a consultant for all type of surgical and prosthetics cases.

John M.

Dr. John M. Justus received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1979. He completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at St. John’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1981.

For the past 15 years Dr. Justus has limited his practice to providing basic oral surgery procedures that include IV sedation, surgical extractions, extraction of third molars, implant site development, and implant placement.

Dr. Justus has a mobile oral surgery practice and provides services to over 20 dental practices in the Denver metropolitan area. Dr. Justus has placed over 4000 implants and has completed over 300 arches of the All on 4 procedure. He is very active in personal instruction to general dentists who want to improve their skills in basic implant dentistry.

Dr. Justus is an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

John S.

Dr. John Chang is the founder of Dental Restorative Group and manages the work of our offices in Belmont, Cambridge, and Arlington.

As a surgery trained prosthodontist, Doctor of Dental Medicine, and Master of Medical Science, Dr. Chang brings extensive experience and skill to every patient case. He is an internationally recognized expert and lecturer on the subjects of dental implants and prosthetic dentistry, and he regularly contributes to the field’s body of research in peer-reviewed journals.

Just as important as Dr. Chang’s expertise is the approach he offers patients. He makes the comfort, safety, and confidence of those in his care a priority, spending significant time during appointments to discuss procedures, answer questions, and make treatment a collaborative process.

Professional Accomplishments
Dr. Chang serves as a faculty of the postdoctoral prosthodontics program at Harvard University’s School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, and the Massachusetts Dental Society has selected him as a top dentist (“Ten Under 10,” 2013).

In addition to his work in Cambridge, Belmont, and Arlington, Dr. Chang helps improve restorative techniques for patients worldwide. He regularly lectures on topics such as the All-on-4® treatment concept, CADCAM restorations, digital impression methods, and crown and prosthetic fabrication methods that can yield more consistent, high-quality dental appliances.

Education and Training
The quality of Dr. Chang’s work reflects the advanced training and education that he received. He is a graduate of the School of Dental Medicine at University of Pennsylvania. Upon completing a postdoctoral specialty in prosthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Chang received a Master of Medical Science degree. This program provided him with thorough training in specialty clinical practice and research methodologies.

Dr. Chang also participated in additional training for implant surgery at the University of Geneva. Patients frequently choose Dental Restorative Group because of his expertise in this area, and the breadth of his education and skills has helped provide them with durable, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing results.

Personal
Dr. Chang believes that serving patients well also means serving the community. He has made it a commitment of our practice to support organizations and events throughout Belmont, Cambridge, Arlington, and Greater Boston.

Dr. Chang is an active sponsor of the Foundation for Belmont Education, which raises private funds to enrich the educational experience. The foundation helps foster the creativity of teachers and engage the interest of students. He also contributes to the Global Art Music Foundation, which advances interest in and resources for the arts in our community and abroad.

John Chang is a married father of two. He and his daughters, all accomplished violinists, regularly visit senior living facilities to play concerts for residents. Because our practice frequently serves patients in their 50s and older, these visits also give future patients an opportunity to get to know Dr. Chang and become comfortable in his care.

Lorenzo

Lorenzo Mordini graduated cum laude from University of Modena School of Dentistry, Italy in 2008.

After working in private practice in Italy, he moved to Boston, USA to complete the AEGD residency at Boston University, H. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In the same institution he also completed the Master of Science, focusing on Guided Bone Regeneration clinical research.

Dr Mordini is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He lectures nationally and internationally and he is co-author of books on Periodontal and Implant Therapy. He is ITI and Nevins Biohorizon Clinical Research Fellow.

From 2016-2019 Dr. Mordini was the implant surgery coordinator of Creighton University School of Dentistry, Omaha NE.

Currently, Dr. Mordini works in private practice and is a Assistant Professor in Periodontology and at Tufts University School of dental Medicine in Boston, MA.

Luca

Dr. Luca Gobbato is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He received his Dental Degree (DDS) from University of Padova, Italy in July 2006.

Dr. Gobbato attended Tufts University for three years where he earned his MS (Master of Science in Periodontology) and his Certificate of Advance Education in Periodontology in June 2010. He also received a PhD from Universitad International de Catalunya, Barcelona in July 2016.

He is a Clinical instructor in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection and Immunity, Division of Periodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he was appointed in 2011. Since January 2016 he is the director of the Periodontal Therapy III course at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

In January 2012 he was also appointed Faculty in the Department of Periodontology, at University of Padova, and he is a Lecturer Master of Dental Implants, University of Padova. Since January 2015 he is the director of the english course titled: The importance of soft and hard tissue thickness in the achievement of esthetic results with the implant supported restoration.

He serves as reviewer for the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry (IJPRD) and for the Journal of Periodontology (JOP).

He is an active member of the American Academy of Osseointegration (AO), Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED) and a certificate member of the Italia Society of Periodontology (SidP).

He is also a member of the scientific committee of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Gobbato is practicing in Padova and Vittorio Veneto (Treviso), Italy, limiting his practice to periodontics and implant dentistry since July 2010.

Miguel

Dr. Miguel D. Vidal completed his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He continued his specialty training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He was awarded a certificate in Prosthodontics and Implantology, a certification achieved by less than 1% of dentists. He also completed a Masters of Science degree focusing on the use of bone regeneration in implant treatment. Dr. Vidal has published articles in some of the leading peer-reviewed dental journals dealing with Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. He lectures nationally to other dentists and specialists on Dental Aesthetics, Implant Dentistry, and Trauma Reconstruction.

Dr. Vidal oversees the Implant Task Force for the MGH/Harvard Wide General Practice Residency Program. During his tenure at Mass General he was awarded the Partners in Excellence Award for clinical leadership and innovation.

Naciye

Dr. N. Guzin Uzel received her DMD from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed her Periodontology Certificate and Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also received her Certificate in Microbiology from The Forsyth Institute, where she has conducted many basic science and clinical research studies.

Dr. Uzel has published several peer-reviewed papers and co-authored book chapters on both basic science and clinical applications of periodontics and taught for several years at Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she served as the Clinical Director of Postdoctoral Periodontology. She is currently an assistant professor and Assistant Director of Predoctoral Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a reviewer for the Journal of Dental Education.

She maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implantology in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Paul

Paul A. Levi, Jr. was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 4, 1940 to his parents Edith and Paul. He was raised in Newton Centre, Massachusetts and attended the Newton public schools until the age of 13. He did two years of high school at Rivers Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and his second two years at Hebron Academy in Hebron, Maine. He attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York and graduated in 1962.

He joined the Sigma Chi Fraternity in 1962 and was Annotator. He matriculated into Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM), graduating in 1966. For the next year he did a dental internship at the Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington, Vermont, and from 1967-1969 he was a dental officer at Great Lakes naval Training Center in North Chicago, Illinois. It was through a Sigma Chi brother that he met Patty J. Nichol, who in 1968 became Mrs. Patty N. Levi. They decided to move to Newton, Massachusetts after his two years in the service and Paul entered TUSDM for two years of specialty training in periodontology under the guidance of Dr. Irving Glickman. Graduating with his Certificate in Periodontology in 1971 they moved to Burlington, Vermont to live and establish a practice in periodontology. Paul was the second periodontist in Vermont and the first to achieve Diplomate status, which he did in 1975. Paul continues to practice in Burlington, Vermont.

Meanwhile he taught in the University of Vermont School of Dental Hygiene for twenty-seven years and began teaching at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in 1994. In 2003 he began teaching half-time in the Department of Periodontology at TUSDM while continuing to teach part-time at HSDM. In September of 2010 he and Patty moved for a year to Barcelona, Spain, where Paul taught at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. Paul continues to teach part-time in the three schools as well as lecturing and giving workshops in many schools and for many dental organizations throughout the United States and in Europe and Asia.
In 2012, Paul received the Clinician of the Year award from the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Yankee Dental Congress (YDC) for his participation in lectures and workshops for the YDC. Paul and his partner in practice, Brian Shuman have a dental internship for high school and college students interested in dentistry. In 2016, Paul, Natalie Jeong, Daniel Coleman, and Robert Rudy published The Non-Surgical Control of Periodontal Diseases: A comprehensive Handbook, published by Springer of Germany. It is considered the top book in its field presenting the theory and techniques for the non-surgical control of periodontal diseases. In 2018 St. Lawrence awarded an Alumni Certificate for the many students from St. Lawrence who participated in this internship.

Paul continues to teach and do research. At this time in his life, dentistry is his hobby and passion and will continue to be that way for the foreseeable future.

Philip

Dr. Walton earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Toronto. Prior to pursuit of his graduate dental studies, he completed externships at the University of Michigan and overseas at Kings College London School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, England.

Dr. Walton completed his Master’s degree in Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His practice includes conventional periodontal therapy for tooth maintenance, periodontal plastics as well as advanced regenerative techniques and implant rehabilitation. His current area of focus lies in immediate implant placement and temporization for both single, multiple and full arch reconstruction.
Dr. Walton is a Fellow of the Royal College of Canada and a US Board Certified Diplomate of Periodontics and Implantology. He maintains an affiliation to the University of Toronto, and Harvard as a clinical instructor, international research fellow, admissions committee member and active alumnus.

Dr. Walton is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Ontario Dental Association, and Canadian Dental Association. He also continues to contribute to philanthropic dental and community initiatives.

Pooria

Dr. Fallah has been working as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Texas A&M College of Dentistry since 2018 and was appointed as Director of the Postdoctoral Periodontics program in 2019.

He received his DDS degree in 2009 and subsequently completed his residency program in Periodontics at New York University College of Dentistry in 2015. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics in 2016 and has been practicing periodontics in private practice in Dallas since 2015. Dr. Fallah is particularly active in postgraduate education, patient care in private practice, and clinical research in the field of Periodontics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Ryan Lewis is a graduate of Murray State University and of the prestigious University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He is one of the first to graduate from UofL’s reinvigorated 3 yearProsthodontics Residency Program, celebrated for producing some of the finest specialists in the United States.

The program at UofL is one of 57 accredited programs in the country and the only program of its kind in the state of Kentucky. While at UofL Dr. Lewis completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine, a certificate in Prosthodontics, a Masters of Science in Dentistry, and published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry on digital guided implant surgery. He is pushing the limits of guided surgery by developing fully digital techniques and pathways utilizing intraorally scanning and 3D printing. Dr Lewis is a key opinion leader and routinely gives lectures at the national level on anterior implant esthetics and guided surgery.

Soo-Woo

Dr. Soo-Woo Kim graduated with Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from University of California, Riverside in 1999. He then pursued his Master of Science degree in bioengineering at University of California, Los Angeles. With an influence of his academic mentors, he received his dentistry and periodontology training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.

He is currently in last year of training for a doctoral degree in the same institution. His primary focus of treatments is on both classical and contemporary periodontal therapies, ranging from non-surgical therapy to surgical therapy including osseous surgery, crown lengthening, bone grafting, implant, and soft tissue surgery.

With his backgrounds in biochemistry and engineering, he is actively engaged in research on the development of ideal hard and soft tissue grafting materials. He has multiple publications including peer reviewed journals and book chapters. He is also interested in dental outreach programs to the underserved population. He’s been on multiple dental mission teams to Mexico, Nicaragua, Columbia, and Dominican Republic for past three years. Dr. Soo-Woo Kim is a member of American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and American Academy of Periodontology.

He currently lives in Quincy, MA with his wife Christine and a daughter Chloe. He is actively engaged in church activities. He enjoys driving, traveling, cooking, exploring restaurants in neighborhood, and fixing computers

Sun

Dr. Sun graduated from dental School at China Medical University(CMU), Taichung, Taiwan in 2009. After graduation, she enrolled in a General Residency program at CMU (2009-2010). She practiced dentistry in Taipei, Taiwan for 2 years (2010-2012) before she joined the postgraduate periodontal specialty program.

In 2015, she received her Advanced Education Certificate and Master of Science degree in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston (2012-2015).

Since 2015, Dr. Sun practices as a specialist limited in periodontology and implantology at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. She is also a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Department of Periodontology at National Defense School of Dentistry, Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Sun is a Diplomate of both the American and Taiwanese Board of Periodontology. She enjoys teaching, publishes clinical research papers and lectures nationally and internationally on periodontology and implantology. In recent years, she further expands her clinical and research focus into digital implant dentistry and was awarded for a scholarship from the International Team of Implantology (ITI) in Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA from 2019 to 2020.

She has been recognized as a standout clinician and successfully won the 1st prized of the Perio Contest 2018 in Europerio 9 after competing with 137 worldwide submitted clinical cases in the field of periodontology. In year 2020, she was awarded for the Osteology Case Award for the best clinical presentation in Osteology Virtual symposium USA.

Teppei

Dr. Tsukiyama received his dental degree from Kyshu University, Japan. He completed his residency in periodontics, Master of Science and advanced education in esthetic dentistry at the department of prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

He currently holds the position of adjunctive clinical instructor, in the Department of periodontics of the same institution. Upon graduation he was awarded the “certificate of surgical excellence”. He is diplomate, American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Tsukiyama has a private practice in Fukuoka Japan limited to periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry.

He has been active in providing continuing education nationally and internationally. He is also an active member of various professional associations. He has published numerous scientific articles related to periodontics and implant dentistry, and is the Co-editor of the “Manual of Clinical Periodontics 4th Edition.

Thomas

Dr. Thomas T. Nguyen is a full-time faculty in Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he teaches both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral levels. Dr. Nguyen received his dental degree (DMD) from the University of Montreal.

He subsequently completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the University of Rochester, a Master of Science (MSc) in Craniofacial Tissue Engineering at McGill University, and his training in Periodontology at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Nguyen is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the ITI and Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He maintains a clinical practice limited to periodontology and implantology in the Faculty Group Practice at the Harvard Dental Center.

Vikram

Dr. Vikram Likhari graduated from Tufts University in Boston with a Master of Science Degree and a Certificate in Periodontics. He was selected as Chief Resident of the program in his final year at Tufts and also held a Visiting Scientist Position at the acclaimed Forsyth Institute.

Dr. Likhari is in private practice in Bellevue, WA and the special focus of his practice is Periodontal Plastic Surgery and Esthetic Implant Surgery. Dr. Likhari is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, and gives back to his profession by being an Associate Professor affiliated with the University of Washington Department of Periodontics.

The importance of soft tissue around teeth and implants is his particular interest and he lectures on this topic to national and international audiences.

Vinny

Vinicius (Vinny) Rodrigues, DDS, DMSc, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry, Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, teaching and directing courses to both dental and graduate students.

Before joining academia in 2012, Dr Rodrigues was full-time in private practice in Brazil. He earned dental degrees from the University of São Paulo and University of Detroit-Mercy. Dr Rodrigues completed a Periodontology residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where has also received the prestigious Presidential Award of academics and career, and is board-certified in the U.S. by the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr Rodrigues has co-authored several publications, especially book chapters in Clinical Periodontology. Most recently he has served as the first visiting faculty in Periodontology at the University of Rwanda School of Dentistry. His research interests include Tissue Engineering and Regeneration, and clinical trials in Periodontology. On his free time he enjoys biking and barbecuing, but also assisting international dental and medical mission trips.

Yong-Han

Dr. Yong-Han Koo graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus. He holds a faculty appointment at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He serves on the board of directors for American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), is a member of the E-Poster Committee for Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and sits on the CE Committee for Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MSOMS) and Yankee Dental Congress.

Dr. Koo is the founder of Academy of 3D Connection in Osseo-Integration and maintains a private practice limited to oral and maxillofacial surgery in Wayland, Massachusetts.

Yu-Cheng Chang

Dr. Chang is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Periodontics at Penn Dental Medicine. He also serves as the Director of Predoctoral Periodontics, overseeing all the clinical and didactic courses for DMD students.

Dr. Chang received his DDS from Chun Shan Medical University in Taiwan in 2008. Furthermore, he earned a certificate in Periodontology and a Master’s degree in Oral Biology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2014 and 2015, respectively. He also holds a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is actively involved in conducting research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks.

Since becoming as a faculty, Dr. Chang’s excellence in teaching has been frequently recognized with multiple awards, such as the Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics Educator Award from The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the Award for Outstanding Service for Students, the Nobel Biocare Junior Faculty Fellowship, and the Earle Bank Hoyt Award from Penn Dental Medicine.

Dr. Chang, most recently, was awarded the AAPFoundation Teaching Fellowship, a highly competitive fellowship awarded to two individuals nationwide.

Yu Wang

Dr. Yu Wang is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an appointed faculty at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

She teaches in clinical and dedicated settings at both predoctoral and postdoctoral level while devoting time to multiple research projects.

She received extensive training in general dentistry and earned a Master of Science Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in her native Taiwan. She completed a residency in Periodontology at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, where she also earned a Master of Science degree.

Dr. Wang has published peer-reviewed papers and co-authored book chapters on both basic science and periodontology. She also serves as a reviewer for Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research.

With her commitment to teaching and academia, Dr. Wang received the Dr. D. Walter Cohen Teaching Award in 2017 and Educator Award in 2018 from the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation.

Kevin Luan

Dr. Kevin Luan is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago. He received his dental degree from King’s College London, England, receiving the prestigious Frank Ashley Prize from the British Society of Periodontology.

Following graduation, he was selected as a Thouron Scholar to attend the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his specialist training in Periodontics and Dental Implantology and received his Masters degree in Oral Biology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Board Certified in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery, Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.

He is a Health Professions Education Fellow at Johns Hopkins University where he received his Masters of Education in Health Professions Leadership. He was recently appointed as a national board examiner for the ADEX CDCA licensure examinations. He is actively involved with American Dental Education Association as Emerging Academic Leaders Scholar, the American Dental Association’s Institute for Diversity in Leadership, and the Academy of Osseointegration’s Young Clinician Committee. Luan’s research interests include bioengineering, implant dentistry, and treatments for periodontitis and peri-implantitis.

Joaquín

Dr. Joaquín Barona Born and raised in Mexico city, where he graduated in dental school from the Tecnological Universiy of Mexico. he worked as a general dentist in his own practice, and then he graduated top of his class in periodontology and implant dentistry obtaining his masters degree at the Latin American University.

He then taught there for some years as a part time professor in the the periodontology program.

Dr. Barona is also an invited proffessor at Technological University of Mexico, Intercontinental University and Latin American university.

Dr.Barona is actually holding an active membreship in the American Academy of Periodontology
Currently her works full time in his private practice im Mexico City.

He loves complex cases and He is an advisor for treatment planning for complex restorative cases in several practices.

Panos

PROF. DR. PANOS PAPASPYRIDAKOS DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos is currently an Associate Professor of Postgraduate Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and an adjunct Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health, and he maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Boston MA. 


Dr. Papaspyridakos is a specialist Prosthodontist and his clinical expertise covers all aspects of Implant, Esthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry. He received both his Certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics and M.S. degree with honorary distinction from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Subsequently, he received his Certificate of Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also holds a D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and a Ph.D. degree from the National University of Athens School of Dentistry. 


Dr. Papaspyridakos has published more than 100 articles and abstracts in international peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters in 10 Implant Dentistry textbooks, while he serves as reviewer for several dental journals. He is a Key Opinion Leader in all aspects of Implant Dentistry and his innovative clinical implant research is widely cited and has received international acclaim with educational awards. Konstantinos

Dr. Konstantinos Chochlidakis is an Associate Professor and the Program Director of the Prosthodontic Postgraduate Training Program at Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH), University of Rochester, NY.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists (FACP), Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics (AP) and holds several memberships in other dental organizations.

Dr Chochlidakis is a Director of the Education Foundation of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACPEF) and the Vice President of the American College of Prosthodontists Western NY section. Dr Chochlidakis has received the Glen P. McGivney Scientific Writing Award for Systematic Review, the Iranpour Award for Excellence in Clinical Education and the ACP Distinguished Researcher Award in 2023.

Dr Chochlidakis is a Director of the Editorial Council of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and hasauthored more than 60 scientific articles, abstracts and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks and is lecturing nationally and internationally on several topics related to digital dentistry and implant prosthodontics.

Antonio 

Dr Antonio González is originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico. He completed his doctorate in dental surgery from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas in 2010.

From 2010 to 2014 he worked for an NGO in charge of dental brigades ant rural indigenous communities, providing care for more than 5,000 patients during that time period.
In 2017 he completed his certificate in oral implantology at the College of Dentists of the state of Jalisco. In 2018 he became certified in Digital Smile Design under the tutelage of Dr. Christian Coachman.
In the summer of of 2023 he completed his graduate program in Prosthodontics and Dental Implants at Ross University in Michoacán, Morelia.

He is the head of the prosthetics and rehabilitation at THE COURSE.
He is an active member of the Mexican College of Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology (CMIBM) and member of the International Federation of Oral Implantology (FIO).

In addition to his passion for teaching, Dr. Antonio González likes art, he is a lover of good cinema, enjoys music, and spending time with his friends and family.

Jesús

Born in Chihuahua Mexico, Dr. Jesús Mariñelarena obtained his bachelor ‘s degree in dental surgery from the Dental School of the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) in 2014.

After a year of social service, he concluded a year of private practice in general dentistry, allowing him to enroll to the residence of oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018, culminating studies in 2022, during this time Jesus gave presentations at the International Congress of Maxillofacial Surgery (ALACIBU) in 2019.

Dr Jesus is certified by the Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2022-2027. In his private practice, he mainly focuses more on dental implant surgery as well as facial trauma reconstruction, orthognathic surgery and pediatric pathology.

He teaches at the Pablo Guardado Chávez University of Dentistry, and functions as a member of the foundation “Una sonrisa para Puebla” that helps children with cleft lip and palate.

Enrique

Dr. Enrique Lask was born and raised in Mexico City, he has always enjoyed working with his hands, from a kid working on his grandfather’s carpentry shed to his mother’s ceramic and jewelry hobby, building or creating toys and small pieces of art, he finds dentistry an extremely satisfying profession where the human component will be difficult to replace.

He enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge with students and colleagues, he’s always eager to learn new procedures or techniques that will benefit the end result of the patient with less injury to the tissue.

He loves taking care of extremely difficult cases to solve, specially dealing with complex implant restorative procedures

Dr Lask completed a 5 year dental degree in Mexico City at the Universidad tecnológica de Mexico, where he graduated in 2003 magna cum laude, top of his class, and the  Mexican Dental Association

He continued his studies receiving his Prosthodontics title at NSU (Nova Southeastern University) in Florida 
After his prosthodontics program, he continued his studies on Periodontics and Implant dentistry as NSU first Postgraduate implant fellow in the Periodontics and OMS department.

He has lectured nationally as well as internationally on implant dentistry as well as prosthetics.
Dr. Lask holds active memberships in different associations and has served different universities as faculty as well as visiting professor.
Dr Lask holds a Mexican as well as a US dental licence, he is fluent in Spanish as well as English.

Enrique has his private practice limited to esthetic, prosthetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry in Mexico City.

Matthew
Dr. Matthew J. Fien is a highly accomplished periodontist, implantologist, international speaker, and educator excelling in helping to increase surgical expertise and expanding practice offerings. He is recognized as an industry advisor and consultant on best practices and strategies for success.

As Trainer and Co-founder of Surgical Influence Institute, Dr. Fien has developed a series of immersive, hands-on “Hard and Soft Tissue Grafting” courses. Alexandra
Dr. Alexandra Tsigarida attended the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens- Dental School where she graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2008.

Following her dental training she moved to the United Kingdom where she practiced as a general dentist, serving in the National Health Service and private practice. A year later she entered the Periodontal program at the Ohio State University where she served as a chief resident. She received a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree in 2013.

Throughout her training and practice, Dr. Tsigarida has been active in promoting dentistry through her involvement in dental research focusing on the microbiology of peri-implantitis. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and received multiple awards in international research meetings. Dr. Tsigarida is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of several national dental organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, ITI (International Team for Implantology) and International Association of Dental Research. Dr. Tsigarida served as an Assistant Professor at Kornberg School of Dentistry, Temple University from 2013-2015. She is currently an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Department of Periodontology at Eastman Institute for Oral Health, a faculty member of the Prosthodontic Program and maintains a faculty practice limited to Periodontics.
